Ao Diário do Rio Claro, o delegado Dr. Matheus Oliveira disse que os pedaços de corpo encontrados pela polícia na última segunda-feira (14) provavelmente são do jovem Welliton Junior Ribeiro dos Santos, de 23 anos, que estava desaparecido desde o último sábado (12).
O delegado confirmou, ainda, que o autor do crime confessou o assassinato no bairro Santa Maria. Após denúncias de vizinhos por conta do mau cheiro, a Polícia Militar foi até uma casa na Rua 16 e encontrou partes de um corpo sendo queimadas.
No mesmo dia, após novas buscas em uma área verde, outras partes do corpo foram encontradas e encaminhadas ao IML (Instituto Médico Legal) de Rio Claro.
“O autor foi identificado e no depoimento, confessou que matou o jovem. No entanto, a perícia fará, agora, um confronto do material genético para confirmar o DNA”, falou o delegado.
Ainda, ao Diário, Oliveira contou que em depoimento o autor confessou também que eles estavam usando drogas, mas que se desentenderam e que ele, nervoso, estrangulou a vítima escondendo o corpo em um sofá, até que resolveu atear fogo. “Agora o trabalho continua em busca da verdade e de mais detalhes”.
