O Grande Prêmio dos Estados Unidos realiza neste sábado a primeira corrida da 19ª etapa da temporada 2024 da Fórmula 1, no Circuito das Américas, com expectativa de público recorde.
É a chamada sprint race, sendo a quarta do calendário, que contém, ao todo, seis rodadas curtas.
Dobradinha da Ferrari no único treino livre
Com o formato do final de semana diferenciado, nesta sexta-feira foi realizado o único treino livre da etapa, marcado por diversas rodadas nos primeiros minutos. No final, a Ferrari garantiu uma dobradinha, com Carlos Sainz à frente de Charles Leclerc.
Completaram o top 10: Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, Kevin Magnussen, Fernando Alonso, Yuki Tsunoda e Nico Hulkenberg.
Neste sábado, além da corrida sprint, os pilotos voltam à pista no período da noite (horário de Brasília) para a classificação que vai definir o grid de largada da corrida principal de domingo.
Tanto neste sábado quanto no domingo, todas as atenções estarão voltadas para a disputa entre Red Bull e McLaren, que brigam pelos títulos de piloto e construtor, além de manterem um olho ainda na Ferrari, que já no treino livre revelou que as atualizações recentemente introduzidas na SF-24 se comportam positivamente na pista de Austin.
