Felipe Massa deixou a etapa de Belo Horizonte na liderança da Stock Car, e como líder chega ao Velopark, para disputar a oitava etapa do ano.
“Estou na liderança neste momento e agradeço muito à equipe TMG pelo trabalho em equipe e pelo carro que vem me entregando nas últimas etapas. A ideia é sempre somar os pontos necessários para estar entre os primeiros na classificação, para disputar o título no fim da temporada”, disse o piloto, que soma 549 pontos, quatro a mais que Felipe Baptista e Ricardo Zonta — empatados na vice-liderança — e seis a mais que Dudu Barrichello, quarto colocado.
Em grande fase na Stock Car, Felipe reconhece a importância de estar no topo, mas deixa claro que o mais importante é terminar a temporada nesta condição. “Saí de Belo Horizonte líder do campeonato e vamos ver se continuamos assim após esta etapa. Mas, para falar a verdade, o que mais me interessa é liderar o campeonato quando acabar a última corrida do ano. Aí, sim!”.
Restam ainda cinco etapas e 685 pontos em jogo, portanto um longo caminho adiante. Mas Felipe entende que tem totais condições de seguir entre os primeiros e chegar ao fim da temporada, em 15 de dezembro, com amplas chances de conquistar seu primeiro título na categoria.
“Vamos trabalhar duro para conseguirmos resultados de forma constante e levando em conta as pistas diferentes que vamos ter a seguir”, concluiu.
