Nem o mais otimista dos torcedores palmeirenses poderia imaginar a exibição de gala e a vitória arrasadora do Palmeiras, sobre o São Paulo FC, na tarde do último domingo (3), na Arena Allianz Parque, pela segunda partida decisiva das finais do Campeonato Paulista.
A vitória no primeiro jogo da final por 3×1, em partida disputada no Morumbi, na quarta-feira (2), dava uma esperança muito grande para o torcedor são paulino, na conquista do bicampeonato. Mas o Palmeiras foi avassalador no jogo de domingo e não deu nenhuma chance ao Tricolor que não viu a cor da bola.
O Verdão abriu o placar com Danilo, aos 21 da primeira etapa e ampliou com Zé Rafael, ainda no primeiro tempo aos 28. A goleada foi completada por Rafael Veiga, que marcou duas vezes, na etapa derradeira de jogo. Ao final da partida, os torcedores palmeirenses que lotaram o Allianz Parque, explodiram de alegria pra comemorar a conquista do 24º. título do Campeonato Paulista da história do clube.
Sem muito tempo pra comemorar, o Verdão já volta à campo no próximo final de semana. A equipe estreia em casa no Campeonato Brasileiro contra o Ceará, no próximo sábado (9), às 21 horas. O São Paulo FC inicia a sua caminhada no Brasileirão, frente ao Athletico Paranense, às 18 horas, no domingo (10), atuando no estádio Morumbi.
