Um homem foi preso n fim de semana no bairro Paulista, em Piracicaba, acusado de estelionato após tentar aplicar o chamado “golpe da entrega”. O criminoso se disfarçava de entregador para se aproximar de moradores e obter seus dados pessoais, que eram utilizados para abrir contas bancárias digitais e realizar fraudes, como empréstimos e a emissão de boletos falsos.
Segundo a Polícia Militar, o suspeito, vindo de São Paulo, chegou a uma residência alegando ter uma encomenda para o pai do morador, insistindo que precisava tirar uma foto para concluir a entrega. Desconfiado, o filho do destinatário questionou o comportamento do homem, que rapidamente deixou o local antes da chegada da polícia. Ele abandonou no local dois celulares e uma caixa contendo um relógio smartwatch.
Com a ajuda da descrição fornecida pela vítima e a placa da motocicleta utilizada pelo golpista, a polícia iniciou uma busca pela região. O suspeito foi localizado na Avenida Raposo Tavares e, ao perceber a aproximação dos policiais, tentou fugir em direção à Rodovia Cornélio Pires (SP-147). Após uma perseguição, ele foi interceptado no quilômetro 42 da rodovia.
Durante a tentativa de fuga, o homem foi visto descartando vários celulares. Na abordagem, foram encontrados com ele dois aparelhos adicionais e uma mochila de entregador com 13 pequenas caixas de papelão destinadas a diferentes pessoas de Piracicaba. O material apreendido incluía embalagens para futuras falsas entregas.
No plantão policial, outra vítima reconheceu o suspeito como sendo o autor de um golpe semelhante. A polícia de Piracicaba alertou a população sobre o aumento desses tipos de fraudes e orientou os moradores a serem cautelosos com entregadores que solicitam informações pessoais ou tiram fotos. A recomendação é sempre verificar a procedência das entregas e acionar as autoridades em casos suspeitos.
