A Secretaria Municipal de Mobilidade Urbana, Trânsito e Transportes (Semuttran) de Piracicaba realizou no mês de maio uma série de ações em conjunto com a Guarda Civil Metropolitana (GCM) e as polícias Militar (PM) e Militar Rodoviária (PMR), de conscientização para redução de acidentes no trânsito. Este ano a campanha tem como tema Paz no Trânsito Começa por Você. Além de ações de conscientização, feitas durante todo o mês, foram realizadas duas operações Hércules com foco em motocicletas irregulares.
Durante as blitzes de conscientização, foram feitas abordagens educativas com o objetivo de orientar sobre a importância de respeitar as leis de trânsito para redução de acidentes nas vias. Além da distribuição de materiais da campanha, os veículos passaram por verificações e foram orientados no caso de alguma irregularidade.
Ao todo, foram feitas oito ações de conscientização e diversas vias da cidade, algumas delas escolhidas pelo alto índice de acidentes registrados nos locais, como o cruzamento das avenidas Alberto Vollet Sachs com a Dois Córregos e a Rio das Pedras; no da Avenida Saldanha Marinho com a Independência; e na Avenida Comendador Luciano Guidoti com a Professor Alberto Volet Sachs.
“A pasta manterá ações educativas, mas também a fiscalização. Temos uma frota considerável de veículos em Piracicaba, são quase 360 mil, e desses, aproximados 76 mil são motocicletas, fora os de passagem e os que não estão registrados em nosso município, mas que estão diariamente circulando. As operações visam essa conscientização, que somam as diversas campanhas aplicadas pela pasta, para que tenhamos motoristas e motociclistas conscientes e um trânsito mais seguro. Se todos respeitarmos, não haverá tanta incidência de sinistros que só oneram o sistema, causam sofrimento e desgastes aos envolvidos”, declarou a secretária da Semuttran, Jane Franco.
