A MotoGP realizou na madrugada de domingo o GP da Malásia, 18ª e antepenúltima etapa da temporada 2023. E em uma prova importante para o campeonato no quente circuito de Sepang, a vitória ficou com Enea Bastianini, tendo Álex Márquez em segundo. Já Francesco Bagnaia foi o terceiro, logo à frente de Jorge Martín, resultado que permite ao italiano respirar no Mundial.
Antes, na corrida sprint, Álex Márquez foi o vencedor, com Jorge Martín em segundo e Francesco Bagnaia em terceiro.
A modalidade se aproxima do fim da temporada 2023, e a disputa pelo título segue aberta. Com apenas 74 pontos em jogo entre as etapas do Catar e de Valência, Francesco Bagnaia saiu do GP da Malásia na liderança em busca do bicampeonato, mas com uma diferença mínima para Jorge Martín.
O atual campeão tem 412 pontos contra 398 do espanhol da Pramac, apenas 14 separando os dois. No geral do fim de semana, Bagnaia conseguiu aumentar apenas um tento sua vantagem para Martín, acumulando 23 pontos entre o GP e a sprint contra 22 do rival.
