O chefe da Mercedes, Toto Wolff sugere que o design do W14 será ‘cheio de surpresas’, enquanto sua equipe procura se recuperar de um fraco 2022.
A Mercedes terminou a temporada com apenas uma vitória, a primeira de George Russell na categoria, onde foi seguido por Lewis Hamilton em P2 no GP de São Paulo. Com isso, o W13 provou ser o carro mais difícil da história da equipe alemã.
“É cheio de surpresas”, disse Wolff à imprensa sobre o novo carro. “A última vez que o vi, achei que parecia com o W13, mas será bem diferente”, disse ele.
Ele disse que descobrir e resolver os problemas do W13, era como descascar uma cebola. “Acho que agora temos uma compreensão muito melhor de quais eram os problemas”, disse ele. “Descascamos as ‘camadas da cebola’ para descobrir mais e mais problemas, mas acho que chegamos ao ponto em que entendemos muito bem por que o carro não estava funcionando.”
Andretti anuncia parceria com a Cadillac para buscar inscrição na F1
Michael Andretti deu mais um passo em seu plano para tentar ter uma equipe na Fórmula 1. Na última quinta-feira (5), o empresário e ex-piloto anunciou uma parceria com a GM, visando a aprovação de um time na mais importante categoria do automobilismo mundial. Para isso, a montadora americana utilizará a marca Cadillac, e, caso consiga êxito na inscrição, o time se chamará Andretti Cadillac.
Em comunicado, a equipe destaca a experiência das duas empresas no esporte a motor e a ideia de uma expansão internacional com a F1, que neste ano terá três corridas nos Estados Unidos.
