A temporada 2022 do Mundial de Fórmula 1 terminou no último fim de semana, mas ainda teve um outro dia de pista para fechar de vez o ano. Na última terça-feira (22), no circuito de Yas Marina, em Abu Dhabi, oito horas de testes coletivos encerraram de vez as atividades. Agora, só em 2023. E o fim chegou vestido de vermelho: Carlos Sainz foi o mais rápido.
As três primeiras colocações do treino foram posicionadas por pilotos que defenderam a Ferrari: Sainz fez 1min25s245 e foi 0s707 mais veloz que Charles Leclerc.
Robert Shwartzman, reserva da equipe italiana, também assumiu o carro e ficou com a terceira colocação. O russo, que está correndo sob a bandeira israelense desde o começo da guerra na Ucrânia, foi somente 13 milésimos mais lento que Leclerc.
Foi um dia de estreias. Piastri e Hülkenberg entre elas, mas Pierre Gasly esteve no cockpit da Alpine, Nyck de Vries defendeu a AlphaTauri, ao passo que Fernando Alonso esteve na Aston Martin. Logan Sargeant, anunciado na segunda-feira como piloto da Williams para 2023, também esteve na pista.
Gasly foi o mais veloz tirando os pilotos da Ferrari, enquanto Max Verstappen foi quinto colocado. Alex Albon, Sargeant, De Vries, Lance Stroll e Liam Lawson fecharam o top-10.
Os brasileiros afiliados a times da Fórmula 1 também deram o ar da graça: Felipe Drugovich e Pietro Fittipaldi, com Aston Martin e Haas, foram, respectivamente, 15º e 21º colocados dos 24 que participaram.
A Fórmula 1 agora tira férias. Até 2023!
